Mireya FloresSenior Project Engineer
Mireya joined NCDMM in 2024 as a Senior Project Engineer and is responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing existing customer relationships, and generating and managing project plans.
With over 14 years of experience in her field, Mireya served as Assistant Director and Center Manager at The University of Texas at El Paso, W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation, where she helped shape the Center’s strategic direction and operational success. There, she led a breadth of administrative tasking including budget development, onboarding, procurement, account reconciliation, and events, in addition to managing grant expenditures and financial reporting on a multi-million-dollar research portfolio in contracts from government, private industry, and academia. She was a key player in the design of the $80 million Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace Center, a 98,000 sq. ft. facility set to begin operations in 2025, that will enhance the university’s capabilities in these areas.
Furthermore, she served for four years as Managing Editor of Additive Manufacturing, a peer-reviewed academic journal with an impressive readership and impact factor.
Mireya earned a bachelor’s in Biology and was the first recipient of a master’s in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso.
